Spring can be tricky which is why resort and prefall collections are the most wearable. During this season, it can be cold one day and hot the next. My advice is to always layer, but sometimes the occasion may call for a fabric that carries the warmth of fall clothing with the color, and lightness of spring. Spring is the season for Tweed.
When most think of tweed, Chanel comes to mind. The iconic tweed jackets and suits that the Parisian atelier produces are absolute fashion fantasy. Other houses house strong tweed pieces as well. The tweed trend never goes out of style which is why it’s always in demand.
In its earliest form, according to countrysports.se: “The term tweed commonly refers to a variety of wool fabrics woven in a rough, multicolored twill structure. The rugged cloth’s great wind and water resistant qualities still makes it the standard wear in the British Isles for shooting, fly-fishing and other country sport activities.”
