#HowTo: Wear 40’s Inspired Fashion

We at #styleSPLOITATION love a good story and it doesn’t get much better than a steamy romance about cheating and infidelity. The Film Noir genre of the 40s took over cinema with its dark story lines and tawdry dialog. It’s where Rita Hayworth rebranded herself as Gilda and Joan Crawford became a legend.

When looking for 40s inspired fashion, visit thrift stores and remember that it’s all in the styling, so even if the garment doesn’t read 40s, drop the waist, curl the hair, do a smoky eye and a red lip and be on your way.
